The story

Prophet Yusuf, peace be upon him, was still young when he was shown an extraordinary dream.

He told his father about it, and his father understood that something important lay ahead for his son.

But Prophet Yusuf, peace be upon him, had brothers who became deeply jealous of him.

Jealousy began to change the way they thought.

Instead of being happy for their brother, they began planning how to remove him from their lives.

Eventually, they took Prophet Yusuf, peace be upon him, away and left him in a well.

Imagine how frightening that must have been for a young person.

He had been separated from his father and family and did not know what would happen next.

But his story did not end in the well.

Prophet Yusuf, peace be upon him, was eventually taken to Egypt. As he grew older, he faced more difficult tests.

At one point, despite trying to do what was right, he was falsely accused and later imprisoned.

Once again, his situation appeared hopeless.

Yet Prophet Yusuf, peace be upon him, continued to obey Allah.

He remained patient and trustworthy.

Years passed, and Allah changed his circumstances completely.

The young boy who had once been abandoned in a well was eventually given a position of authority and responsibility.

Then came another remarkable moment.

The brothers who had treated him so badly eventually stood before him.

Prophet Yusuf, peace be upon him, now had power over them.

He could have taken revenge.

Instead, he forgave them.

His story teaches us something powerful:

A painful chapter in your life does not necessarily tell you how the story will end.

Sometimes we cannot understand why something difficult is happening.

Prophet Yusuf, peace be upon him, could not see the ending when he was inside the well or during the years of hardship that followed.

But Allah knew the entire story.
